Bintan Camp

Hi people...the camp was extremely fun...but tiring...to sum it all up...TOTALLY worth it...the living condition was not too bad...for me that is as i'm so called used to their environment there cos my mom used to live in malaysia kedah which was kind of like the scene you would find at bintan...so anyways the children at the school were adorable...i wish i could snatch them home but...obviously no...de day we left the school, the kids came up to us and asked us to sign in their books...this made everyone feel like a star...the second day shopping for supplies was nice...our group even have money to get dessert for dinner...boat netting was cool...i would want to do it again...survivour island was tough...but we pulled through with the food we bought [mainly bread, butter, peanut butter, strawberry jam, syrup]...the scenery on the island at night was FANTASTIC...the stars filled the sky like i have never seen before...at 4.30 bintan time, i woke up and saw my favourite star...ragulus...rather easy to spot...and with the moon behind...wow...the sand flies were damned irritating and i could not sleep due to them...kayaking was my fav...i partnered MC...our group paddled against the current which we were not supposed to but we still made it...i got tanned...high elements was nice too...especially the flying fox INTO THE SEA...climbing the coconut tree was difficult...my shoes were too big to properly hold on to the grooves and kept slipping...i switched trees and thanks to the many people encouraging me especially miss lee, i reached the top...final day shopping...haha...did not buy much anyways...taking the ferry back, we partied on the top...did the friendship dance while the boat was still travelling and all that...nice....well....what's over is over...had fun...thats the main point...cheers
